- The Jack Frost Snow Kingdom and the Cari Center is delayed opening until 12:00pm (noon) with a further announcement at 11:30am.- The Jack Frost movies at Empire Theaters are Cancelled.
Programming Highlights
Our theme for 2012 is Hockey! We are very pleased to be partnering with Scotiabank Hockey Day in Canada 2012 to provide lots and lots of hockey related activities on site! The 2012 lineup features a Fairytale Musical starring Belle and the Beast from Beauty and the Beast; Aladdin and Jasmine from Aladdin Prince of Thieves; and Simba from the Lion King singing songs from their hit stage production. Pop Idols featuring tributes to featuring Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, Beyoncé & Rihanna. Not to mention the return of all your favorites: the Kent Building Supplies Snow Maze, CAT Run Snow Slides, The Sign Craft Horse & Sleigh Rides, sculptures, skating, hockey, live entertainment, buskers, Fireworks presented by Atlantic Superstore, princess pretty boutique, super hero training camp, movies & more.

Stanley Cup at Jack Frost Children’s WinterFest
The Stanley Cup will be making a special stop at the Jack Frost Snow Kingdom located at the Sherwood Greens site, Friday February 10th, from 7:30PM – 8:30PM. Pass holders will get to see the famous icon on the final day of the Stanley Cup Relay as part of Scotiabank Hockey Day in Canada 2012 celebrations.
Special admission to the Jack Frost site for Friday only is $10.00 includes full site access from 6:00pm to 9:00pm. Special admission available at the gate only.
Pop Idols in concert on the Pepsi Live Stage
The only place where you’ll see Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, Beyoncé &
Rihanna all on the same stage.... or at least you’ll think you did! This is one lineup that the whole family will enjoy! These tribute artists look, sound and perform just like the real entertainers, performing today’s most popular songs!
This spectacular, must see show encapsulates the exact look and sound of Lady Gaga’s own stage shows. She really does pay every attention to detail. This high energetic show features quick clothes changes, enhanced by top choreographed routines and LIVE vocals leading you to believe Gaga is really on your stage!

Located at the Snow Kingdom at Sherwood Greens, the perfect setting for creating family memories. Children’s characters will be visiting the site and outdoor buskers will be roving about.The CAT Run Snow Slides
Hang on tight as you race down one of the 300ft. long tracks at the CAT Run. Made from the biggest mountain of snow in Charlottetown, The CAT Run will be one of the highlights of your visit! Featuring the Invesco Snow Tubes. You are encouraged to bring your own helmets. *one person per tube.
Public Skate
Located at the Snow Kingdom at the Sherwood Greens behind the Charlottetown Mall, the perfect setting for creating family memories. Children’s characters are expected to make a visit and outdoor buskers will be roving about.
Jack Frost Warm up Tents & Food Pavilion
Take time out to warm up and enjoy the fresh food available in the warm-up tent. Festival favorite food and beverages will be available when you need a break from the fun. This is also where you can find official Jack Frost merchandise!
Kobbler Jay
This professional entertainer has a decade of experience. Using his seasoned arsenal of tricks and fresh wit, Kobbler Jay has captivated, delighted and charmed audiences in over half a dozen countries. The classic "Kobbler Jay" show is thoroughly entertaining for all ages. Children are spellbound by his stunts, teenagers get a kick out of his saucy wit, and adults can appreciate his humour. His comedy can be described as "off the wall", yet appropriate for any audience.
Snow Cycling Presented by Cycling PEI
Come and watch the pros race at the Snow Cycling tracks. These demonstrations are sure to amaze the entire family. If you feel like you’ve picked up enough pointers, you can even try for yourself with supplied bike and helmet or take part in a time trial.Pond Hockey Tournament!
Andrews Hockey Growth Programs is excited to host the 2nd Annual Andrews Pond Hockey Fest. Jack Frost Winterfest will play host to this exciting event with divisions for Novice, Atom, Peewee, Bantam, Midget and up. Games will be played on the Outdoor Rink at Sherwood Greens and the tournament will be “Pond Hockey Style!"

Hockey players and fans can also test their shooting skills off-ice at our hockey shooting gallery, located at the top of the Sherwood Greens site. Nets, sticks, pucks and cut-out goalies are all provided! No skates are necessary.
Fire Tower
Saturday evening has a new addition guaranteed to add some heat to the outdoor site … a Fire Tower! This spectacular fire pit is over 12 ft high and built from snow and blocks of ice surrounding a core of fire. The fire will be lit at 7:30PM on Saturday, just after the nightly fireworks.
Movies at Empire Theatre
Escape from the cold and cozy up with a bucket of popcorn and your favorite movie this year at Empire Theatres! Movies will be featured for all Jack Frost ticket holders. So bring your friends and get ready to be entertained! Doors will open at 9:30 AM seating is limited.Saturday and Sunday

Fireworks presented by Atlantic Superstore
Come see them at the Sherwood Greens site located behind the Charlottetown Mall. Prepare to be amazed as we light up the Snow Kingdom with an awesome display of fireworks and pyrotechnics choreographed to a musical soundtrack. With unique special effects and a magical, musical background, the sky will come alive. Presented by Atlantic Superstore.
*Depending on the evening Fireworks can be seen from as far as the Atlantic Superstore parking lot but the best place is in the Snow Kingdom of Jack Frost.
Indoor Play Land
Keep busy and warm during the Jack Frost Children’s WinterFest at the University of Prince Edward Island Sport Centre. Featuring inflatable attractions, face painting and balloon twisting. Discovery Center, Ooka Island, and Live Stage Shows. Be sure to visit the fun-filled play area.
Pretty Princess Boutique
You’ll find everything needed to transform little girls into royal princesses in this enchanting boutique. Bring your princess-to-be in to the Princess Pretty Boutique for a magical transformation including mini manicures, dress-up and so much more. No princess can resist this fairy tale treatment!Super Hero Training Camp
We welcome boy or girl to join our elite group of superheroes! Come and train at the Superhero Training Camp and get into superhuman shape, so you’ll be ready to battle evil villains. Practice wrestling moves, and strike a pose in your costume and leave the camp a true “Superhero”.
Discovery Centre
The Discovery Centre is Nova Scotia’s only hands-on science centre. With a mission to make science interesting, enjoyable and interactive, it’s the coolest place to play! But why should only Nova Scotians have all the fun? With Community Outreach Programs, our inspiring staff members bring some of Discovery Centre’s most exciting, entertaining, and mind-boggling shows and activities to you!
Ooka Island
Joining us indoors this year is The Ooka Island Adventure, a downloadable hero-mission in 3D designed to teach young children how to read both fluently and well. The Ooka Island Adventure combines the highly engaging components of a state-of-the-art virtual world with the scientifically proven Ooka Method that builds literacy skills. This program is available on computers at the indoor site at the UPEI Sports Centre.
Concrete Roots – Stage Show
Concrete Roots is a group of motivated, like-minded bboys who are striving to increase the growth of our community for the benefit of both Atlantic Canadian youth and positive hip hop culture. It is our goal to develop the Atlantic Canadian urban dance scene by offering workshops in schools and communities so youths will have an outlet for creative expression through physical activity, and organize events so they may showcase their talents.
Somerset Steppers – Stage Show
The Somerset Steppers Dance Studio is located in Emerald, Prince Edward Island. Their Dance Studio exists to promote happiness and health of the students and to give them a true appreciation of dance.
